On the occasion of laughter day i remember a painful lesson learnt during my Std 10 days 25 years ago ( Aug 14, 1999). My teacher caned my left bum with her hard and fat cane for laughing at my batchmates while she was caning their hands. And wot was worse was that those whom she caned on the hands were given less hard strokes and the treatment she gave me was the hardest. My bum was hot and red and swollen for four days. And the very next day was Independence day. We all came to school for the event. And it was a rainy day. The chill of the rains and the hard school floor made my bum sting ten times more.
